We all know about ordinary printers, but when it comes to 3-D printing, many people probably haven't touched it. We just saw the news on the Internet that "a country prints something with 3-D printing technology." But recently, the development of 3-D printing technology is more and more rapid. It used to print some small things, but there are some new ones recently. I heard that a real estate company in the Netherlands started printing houses. Therefore, many people say that the traditional die and mould processing technology in China is going to be replaced by 3D printing technology. Today we will analyze this problem in detail. Three-dimensional printing technology appeared in the mid-1990s, which is actually the latest rapid prototyping device using light curing and paper lamination technology. It works on the same principle as ordinary printing. The printer contains "printing materials" such as liquid or powder. After connecting with the computer, the "printing materials" are stacked layer by layer through computer control, and finally the blueprints on the computer are turned into physical objects. At present, it has been applied in many fields, such as navigation and astronautics, medical treatment, construction, automobile, electronics and so on. To some extent, this seems to coincide with the application field of traditional die processing technology. But when we compare them carefully, we will find that they are different in many ways. First, in terms of time, traditional die processing is relatively fast, and 3D printing takes a relatively long time; there are differences in the choice of materials, die manufacturing is generally made of steel or cemented carbide, and the materials needed for 3D printing need to be determined according to the actual needs of users. Then, in terms of economic benefits, the mass production economy of traditional die and mould processing technology is good, while that of single piece and small batch is poor, while that of 3D printing technology is the opposite. These points are enough to prove that traditional die and mould processing technology will not be replaced by 3D printing technology. 3D technology will have a better prospect in the non-batch production of cutting-edge products. While traditional die and mould processing mainly focuses on mass production and standard parts, the emergence of new things will not necessarily replace the old things, they do not have each other. Where there are conflicts, on the contrary, they complement each other and develop together.
