Grinding Processing Technology of Precision Die Parts

In the grinding process of precision die parts, many technical parameters, such as deformation, internal stress, shape tolerance and dimensional accuracy, need to be well controlled. In the specific production practice, the operation is more difficult, but according to 15 years of precision processing experience, we can summarize and analyze the methods that can be used for reference:

1. Controlling the processing of precision die parts from the finishing process of the die, we can make adaptive processing for different die parts, different materials, different shapes and different technical requirements, and provide selective solutions. Through the control of the processing process, to achieve better processing effect and economy is the focus of attention of most precision die parts processing enterprises. The process of precision die parts processing is generally roughing-semi-finishing (quenching and tempering) -precision grinding-electrical processing-fitter dressing-assembly processing.

There are three main types of machine tools used in the grinding process of precision die parts: surface grinder, internal and external grinder and tool forming grinder. In finishing grinding, grinding deformation and grinding cracks should be strictly controlled, even the micro-cracks on the surface of the workpiece, otherwise they will gradually appear in the subsequent work. Therefore, in precision grinding, the tool feed should be small, the cooling should be sufficient, the coolant medium should be selected as far as possible, and the parts with the machining allowance of 0.01 mm should be grinded at constant temperature as possible.

In grinding process, the grinding wheel should be dressed in time to keep its sharpness. When the grinding wheel is passivated, it will scratch, scratch and extrude the surface of the workpiece, resulting in burns, micro-cracks or grooves on the surface of the workpiece, which will significantly reduce the effectiveness of later use. Plate and plate parts are mostly processed by surface grinder. It is difficult to process long and thin sheet parts. Before processing, under the strong attraction of the grinder magnetic table, the workpiece originally had some kind of bending to produce straight deformation, which was close to the worktable surface. After grinding, the workpiece was deformed under the action of original stress, and the thickness of the workpiece was measured consistently. However, due to the deformation recovery, the flatness of the workpiece could not meet the requirements of precision die parts processing. Requirements, the solution is to use the contour cushion under the workpiece before grinding, and block the workpiece around to prevent moving. When grinding, the feed of the grinding head should be small. The datum plane is completed by multiple tool-walking. After the datum plane is processed well, the datum plane can be adsorbed on the magnetic table by grinding as described above. This method can improve the flatness of most workpieces.
